Online learning for students can be a daunting task, but we’re here to help bridge the gap!
Getting you set up for success for your online courses is a priority to us! Let’s give your students a great online experience together. Online learning for students can be a daunting task, but we’re here to help bridge the gap and make it a fun learning experience that they want to take time to learn from!
Be Yourself! - One of the best ways to really connect with your students during an online course is to connect with them, they want to know who you are as a professor and not just an email address who assigns them homework and exams. Yes, it’s much easier done in person, but with Classavo, you can connect with them all virtually!
Check your Course Site Often - Being present on your course online is so important! It encourages students to be more present as well as knowing that if they have a question, you’re there to help them.
Take Advantage of Classavo - we have so many different tools and features for you to use and enjoy throughout your online course! Use them to your full advantage, if you’re not sure how you could be optimizing your time on Classavo, let us know! We would love to take a look at your course and give you some ideas!
Organization is Key - Ok, all of us over here are organizational crazy! We love having things look clean and nice (basically our entire platform). We have created an amazing folder system that you can use and customize for your own classes or how you like to break down your course! Color coordinate them, label them, or keep them hidden for just you to see. The possibilities are endless!
Ask for Feedback - one of the biggest problems that we have heard from students who take online classes is that they don’t feel like they’re being heard. Asking for your student's feedback will not only help them feel like they have a voice, but it will also help you figure out what’s working and what’s not. Or even leave little questions at the end of an assignment or exam to get their thoughts on that!
Think Like a Student - think how your students would like to learn different information and what would motivate them and feel like they are actually part of a class! Use our discussion boards kind of life Facebook, share things with each other not related to class to spark a course conversation!
